When: Election Day
Where: At your polling place (or one nearby)
Requirements
- Be a registered voter of Montgomery County
- Only registered voters are eligible to serve, with the exception of high school students, ages 16 and 17
- Attend a training class prior to Election Day - class is approximately 2 hours long
- Have energy and stamina
- Have reading skills and clear handwriting
- Enjoy people and service to others
- Willing to accept a small payment for a big service
You will be helping to
- Set up the polling room before the polls open
- Set up and operate the voting equipment
- Check that persons are qualified to vote
- Close the polling place
